Felt snowmen - pendants for the Christmas tree. Felt snowman pattern DIY felt snowmen step by step

We associate the snowman with winter and the New Year holidays, which is why he often coexists with Father Frost and the Snow Maiden as a doll, Christmas tree decoration or costume. And if you make a snowman with your own hands, it will not only delight the children, but will also become a unique interior decoration. This craft can be made from almost any fabric. This can be either a simple toy that doesn’t even require a pattern, or a full-fledged doll with many details.

The first version of making a snowman

Before we start making the toy, we collect all the necessary materials:

  • felt (white - for the main part of the craft; orange, red, green and brown - for decoration);
  • threads to match the felt, and also black and pink;
  • half beads made of black and red plastic;
  • several orange beads;
  • three small pom-poms;
  • transparent glue “Moment”;
  • filler;
  • scissors, sewing needle and pins.

You will also need a pattern:

Operating procedure:

  1. We cut out the snowman pattern from paper, apply it to white felt and trace along the outline with a pencil, without making seam allowances.
  2. Cut out two identical pieces from felt.
  3. We cut out a small cone from orange fabric, which will become the carrot nose of our craft.
  4. Fold the piece lengthwise and sew the edges with a buttonhole stitch.
  5. Fill the resulting cone with filler. To sew the remaining hole, we make small stitches along the edge and tighten the base of our carrot.
  6. Without cutting the thread, we sew the nose to the future head of the toy.
  7. We make eyes from black half-beads, gluing them with Moment glue.
  8. We add toys of details to the face by embroidering eyelashes and eyebrows with black threads, and the mouth with pink threads.
  9. We glue two red half-beads to the body of the craft.
  10. This snowman will also be decorated with a bow tie, which we will make from red felt. To do this, you need to cut out two parts - a bow and a small strip.
  11. We wrap the strip across the bow and fix it on the back side with glue.
  12. We attach the resulting tie to the neck of the toy. The front part of the snowman is ready.
  13. Now you need to sew the undercuts on the front and back parts. The seam should be on the wrong side.
  14. We turn the pieces right side out and fold them with the wrong sides inward. To make it more convenient, we fix them with pins.
  15. Starting from the bottom of the craft, we sew the parts together using a buttonhole stitch.
  16. Now you can add a few more elements to the snowman, let’s start with the top hat. For it you will need to cut out a rectangle from dark green felt, as well as a large and small circle.
  17. We roll the rectangle into a cylinder shape and sew it together.
  18. We sew a small circle to one side of the cylinder, and a large one to the other.
  19. We decorate the resulting hat with two pompoms that need to be glued. Then we glue the hat itself to the snowman’s head.
  20. For the same craft, we cut out arms in the form of twigs from brown felt and sew them on the sides. Now the toy is ready to delight you and your guests.

The second option for making a toy

In order to sew a touching textile snowman we will need the following materials::

  • linen for the main part of the toy;
  • cotton hand cloth;
  • green felt;
  • pink terry cloth;
  • beads;
  • lace ribbon;
  • holofiber;
  • button;
  • scissors, sewing machine and pins.

Operating procedure:

Terry toy

In order to sew a terry snowman you will need the following materials::

  • white and green terry cloth;
  • fleece of any color;
  • holofiber (or other filler);
  • glue;
  • zigzag scissors;
  • black beads;
  • pins.

Procedure for creating a body:

  1. The terry snowman consists of three balls of different diameters. Each ball consists of six wedges. First, draw and cut out wedges from paper. The diagonal of the first wedge is 10.5 cm, the second is 8.5 cm and the third is 7.5 cm.
  2. Fold the white terry cloth in half and trace the paper templates so that you get three wedges of each size. When cutting out parts, you need to leave small seam allowances. You should end up with nine pairs of wedges, three pairs of each size.
  3. We sew each part on one side, after which we put the parts of the same size into a future ball and stitch it, leaving a small hole.
  4. We turn the parts inside out and stuff them with filler, and sew up the remaining holes.
  5. Sew the resulting balls together. The largest ball should be at the bottom and the smallest at the top.
  6. To make a nose toy, cut out a triangle from orange fabric, sew it together, turn it inside out and stuff it with stuffing. After this, we sew the finished nose with a hidden seam to the head of the toy.
  7. We attach beady eyes above the nose.
  8. For arms and legs, you can use the pattern from the second option. Using this template, we cut out parts from white terry cloth, sew them together, turn them inside out, stuff them with holofiber and close the hole with a hidden seam.
  9. We attach the hands to the middle ball of the snowman using a thread method.
  10. We fasten the legs at the bottom with a hidden seam.

Description of clothing production:

  1. We make a hat for a snowman from fleece. Cut out a 21x15 cm rectangle from the fabric, fold it in half and sew it together.
  2. We cut one of the edges of the workpiece with curly scissors, and on the other side, with the same scissors we cut strips, creating a fringe.
  3. We turn up the edge of the cap and put it on the snowman. We gather the fringe into a bun and tie it with a strip of fleece.
  4. Glue the cap along the edges to the head of the craft.
  5. Now we make a scarf. To do this, the fleece is folded in half again and a strip measuring 25x6 cm is cut off. A fringe is made at the ends of the scarf using curly scissors. We tie the finished scarf on the snowman.
  6. It's the turn of the mittens. Again, take the fleece, fold it in half, mark the size of the mittens and cut it out. After that, we sew it together, turn it inside out, cut along the edge with curly scissors, turn in the edges and put it on the toy.

Making a Christmas tree

Snowman “Brrr” made of fleece

Such soft toy can serve not only as a wonderful interior decoration, but also as an original sofa cushion. To make a snowman you will need the following materials:

  • ribana (you can take some old unnecessary knitted item);
  • white fleece;
  • floss threads;
  • doublerin;
  • holofiber;
  • zigzag scissors;
  • orange acrylic paint;
  • sharpener;
  • wooden sushi stick;
  • sandpaper;
  • glue gun;
  • pins.

Fleece snowman pattern:

Operating procedure:

  1. Cut out the parts according to the pattern. Hat and mittens made of ribbed wool, bottom made of fleece and dublerin. Don't forget to allow small allowances.
  2. To make it easier to embroider the face and letters on the belly, duplicate the front part of the body with non-woven fabric.
  3. Using a disappearing ink marker, write the letters “Brrrr” and embroider them with floss using a backstitch.
  4. We also embroider the face of the toy.
  5. Sew the hat. There is no need to stuff it, so we put it aside for now.
  6. We sew the mittens and hands together, and then trim the allowances.
  7. We cut the mitten slightly between the finger and the palm.
  8. Turn the sewn parts inside out.
  9. We fill our hands with filler so that the shoulder part remains half empty.
  10. Leaving approximately 1 cm at the bottom for stretching, stuff the mittens.
  11. Pull the glove over your hand and secure it with pins.
  12. Fold the seam allowance inward and sew the mitten to the snowman's hand using a hidden seam.
  13. We first baste the parts of the toy’s body, then sew them together. After this, we trim the allowances with zigzag scissors, turn them inside out and stuff them with filler.
  14. Now we go along the bottom of the body with a regular seam and tighten the thread to the size of the bottom. We sew the bottom to the snowman's body with a hidden seam.
  15. We fix the hat on the toy’s head with pins and also sew it on with a hidden seam.
  16. We form folds on the cap and secure with single stitches. We wrap the long part of the hat around the snowman’s neck in the form of a scarf and also secure it with stitches.
  17. We attach the arms in such a way that the snowman is hugging himself.
  18. We cut out a small rectangular patch from denim, take out a few threads along the edges and sew it to the body of the toy with sloppy stitches.
  19. Now let's make the snowman's nose. To do this, use a sharpener to sharpen the sushi stick and, if necessary, correct it with a knife and sandpaper.
  20. Paint the sharpened tip of the stick orange. It is necessary to apply 2-3 layers of paint. Each layer must be dry.
  21. When the painted part is completely dry, apply acrylic varnish to it.
  22. After the varnish has dried, cut off the tip of the stick with a knife. We sand the cut area and glue the nose to the snowman's face.

Snowman Olaf from a sock

Olaf is a cheerful character from the Disney cartoon Frozen. You can make a toy that resembles this character in a simple way. For this you will need the following materials:

  • white baby sock;
  • cotton balls;
  • threads;
  • heat gun;
  • eyes on a self-adhesive basis;
  • scissors;
  • pieces of black and orange felt.

Operating procedure:

  1. Fill the sock one-third full with rice. We form something like a snowball and tie this part with a thread.
  2. In the same way, we make two more “snowballs”, which should be slightly smaller and slightly elongated than the base. At the very top you need to leave a little fabric for the tuft.
  3. From felt we cut out hands, button circles, a mouth, a crest and a carrot nose. We glue all these parts to the craft using a heat gun.
  4. Now we remove the adhesive base from the eyes and attach them to the snowman’s head.
  5. We glue cotton balls to the bottom of the craft - these are the legs of the toy. And with this Olaf the snowman will be ready.

This felt snowman can be made to decorate a Christmas tree or as a gift to loved ones as a small souvenir.

Tools and materials Time: 30 minutes Difficulty: 2/10

  • white or blue felt;
  • thin ribbons;
  • rhinestones or half beads;
  • small beads - eyes;
  • small snowballs or pompoms;
  • Super glue;
  • thread, needle, scissors.

This cute felt snowman can be a nice bonus to the main one. New Year's gift or a souvenir for friends.

The materials you will need are inexpensive and quite accessible:

Step-by-step master class

First of all, you need to make a snowman pattern. We insert the picture into Word, adjust the size (the height of the toy is 8.5 cm), apply a sheet of paper to the computer monitor and trace the translucent silhouette of the figure.

If there are several snowmen, it is better to make a pattern from cardboard; it is easier to trace and can be used repeatedly.

Trace the template on felt. To make one snowman you need 2 parts. We cut them out so that traces of the paste that was used to outline the pattern remain on the scraps.

Place the pieces next to each other and sew them together using a buttonhole stitch, starting from the middle of the head. We do not finish sewing 2-3 cm until the toy is stuffed. We do not break the thread.

We fill the figure with small pieces of padding polyester, pushing them through using the tips of scissors.

We put the ends of a thin ribbon or lace into the middle of the snowman and sew it up to the end with the remaining thread.

Now you can start decorating the toy. Cut a small piece of thin tape (3 mm), burn the ends with a match and glue it to the sides of the head with super glue. We glue pompoms on top.

The neck can be decorated with a scarf cut from colored felt or a bow from satin ribbon. Glue the bow with super glue.

The nose will be a carrot. If you have polymer clay, then we sculpt from it. If you have never worked with plastic, you can cut out a flat carrot from orange thin felt. Glue the part with super glue.

The eyes can be sewn on (before sewing the body parts) or glued. We glue it carefully so that excess glue does not spoil the toy.

We toast the cheeks with pink shadows or dry art pastels.

We decorate the middle of the bow with a shiny pebble and glue rhinestones. Instead of rhinestones, you can use half beads, small buttons or sequins.

With the arrival of winter, when the first snowball falls, the children are in a hurry to build a fairy-tale snowman. And every yard has its own, special one. But snowmen can be sculpted not only from snow, you can create excellent Christmas decorations– snowmen from various materials: tennis balls, white pompoms made of thread, disposable cups and plates, even from an old unusable light bulb you can make an excellent snowman. Paint it beautifully and decorate it with different decorations.

Today I propose to make a felt snowman with your own hands. According to our pattern (template), making a snowman will take no more than half an hour. But in such a short time, we will get a magnificent toy for decorating the New Year's tree in kindergarten or at home.

DIY felt snowman - pattern and step-by-step master class with photos:

Print or copy the template (pattern) for the snowman.

Cut out the template details with scissors.

We cut out a snowman on white felt, tracing the outline with a simple pencil. For the snowman you need to cut out 2 parts.

We cut out a light green hat, also in the amount of two parts.

We cut a scarf from red felt, about 20 cm long.

We thread a turquoise thread into a needle and begin to sew the snowman parts together using an overcast stitch in a circle.

We leave room for filler at the end of the work.

Fill the snowman with holofiber and sew up the remaining hole. We fasten the thread and cut it.

We sew the hat with an overcast stitch on the sides, while reaching the top we sew on a white pompom.

The hat is ready.

We put a hat on the head of our felt snowman.

We sew on beaded eyes, a nose, and embroider eyebrows and a mouth.

Let's take a waxed cord and pass it through the body, tie knots at the ends - we get handles.

In the center of the body we glue half beads instead of buttons using hot glue or Moment glue.

We cut fringe at the ends of the scarf.

We tie the scarf beautifully around the neck of our snowman. At this point, your handmade felt snowman is ready. Now it is insulated for the winter and can decorate the Christmas tree. To do this, do not forget to attach a ribbon or colored lace to it.

Making these cheerful and positive snowmen is not difficult at all. They can be used as pendants on a holiday tree or placed on a shelf along with other New Year's decorations. To make a pair of snowmen you will need:

  • Soft white felt for the base, thin felt sheets in blue and Pink colour- for hats and scarves. A small piece of orange is for the nose.
  • Sewing threads of all the listed shades and black (or any dark shade) - for embroidering the mouth.
  • Small black beads for eyes.
  • Beads or rhinestones for decorating hats.
  • Synthetic fluff, holofiber for stuffing toys.
  • The braid is white.
  • Scissors, tailor's soap.
  • Pendants for decoration.
1. Print and cut out paper templates for snowmen and hat parts.

2. From white felt cut out the main parts (torso, arms), from pink and blue - hats. For scarves, cut strips: 1 cm * 12 cm - blue scarf, 2 cm * 8 cm - pink.

3. First you need to decorate the faces of the snowmen. Take black beads and sew them onto the top of the heads at a distance of 1.5 - 2 cm from each other.

4. Then embroider smiling mouths on the snowmen using dark threads.

5. Make small circle noses from a piece of orange felt. Sew them with a few blind stitches into the middle of the front of the heads.

6. Embroider curls on the body of the girl snowman with pink thread.

7. Decorate the body of the snowman-boy with an embroidered snowflake.

8. Next, place the front pieces of the snowmen over the back pieces and sew them together.

9. At the end, leave an unstitched area and stuff the toys with holofiber through it.

10. After this operation, continue the seam, fasten the thread and cut it.

11. Take the parts of the arms, fold them in two and sew them with the same seam as the base. Sew the finished arms to the body. Set the bodies aside for now.

12. Now you need to make hats for the snowmen. Sew white trim to the blue triangle. Take the second part of the hat and do the same with it.

13. Finish the white part of the hat with a blanket stitch. Then do the same with your other half.

14. Then fold both parts of the product with the wrong sides inward and sew them together. Fold the corner of the hat and sew it to the base.

15. Place the blue hat on the boy snowman and sew it to the head with hidden stitches.

16. Take a blue bead and attach it to the top of the hat.
