A special rope bracelet for tourists is a multifunctional accessory that can perform all the actions described above. In its woven form, it looks original on a man’s hand, but when it is needed, the bracelet unravels in a few seconds with one movement, forming a strong cord about 5 meters long. You can weave necessary items into the bracelet, such as a knife, fishhooks, a whistle, or a name tag.

Weaving a bracelet

Prepare a cord 5 m long (a clothesline is suitable for training), a lighter, a fastener, and scissors. Use a lighter to burn the ends of the cord to prevent them from unraveling. Fold the rope in half and thread the loop through one element of the fastener. Place the ends of the cord into a loop and tighten.

To fit your size, measure your wrist and form two loops equal to the volume of your arm. Lift the ends of the cord up towards the clasp. To fix the length of the measured loops, wrap all the threads with the left end of the cord, and then pass under the right loop. Place the opposite end of the rope under the first, then pull it over the loop and under the second loop, leading it from the bottom up into the hole formed on the left side. Tighten the resulting part of the knot.

Then pull the right end of the rope between the loops from bottom to top. Place the left part on the cord and pull it under the first loop, bringing the end over the second, and insert it into the hole formed by the right end from top to bottom. The knot can be carefully tightened. Please note that in the first half of the knot the ends of the rope will point up, and in the second - down. To determine the length of the bracelet, wrap the cord around your wrist twice and add another 15-20 cm. Fold the cord in half, forming a loop, and tie a thin thread to this place. If you want to learn how to weave bracelets on a slingshot, you can start with the most basic option.

Work like this:

1. Place the first elastic band on both horns, crossing it with a figure eight.
2. Put on the second elastic band without crossing.
3. Lift the loops formed by the first elastic band up through the tips of the slingshot horns and throw them towards the middle.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you reach the desired bracelet length.
5. Install the clip clasp.

Using the same technology you can make a bracelet with beads. It will look more interesting. The only difference is that instead of empty rubber bands (example of step 2), rubber bands are put on the horns of the slingshot, on which beads are pre-strung (usually one at a time). 4. Put on the next elastic without crossing, repeat step 3.

1. Take the slingshot and position it with the open parts of the posts facing you.
2. Prepare elastic bands of two colors and arrange them in pairs (two white, two blue). This will make it more convenient to work in the future.
3. Place the first pair of elastic bands, for example white ones, on the posts of the slingshot, crossing them in the shape of a figure eight.
4. Put on the next blue pair without crossing.

9. Repeat step #7.
10. Work in the sequence of points No. 6 to No. 9 until the desired length of the product.
11. It is important to secure the bracelet correctly. When you have one loop left on each column, transfer the last loop to the penultimate column, the first to the second, from the third to the fourth, from the fifth to the sixth, from the seventh to the sixth. Attach the required number of clips to the remaining loops. Attach the second edges of the fasteners to the eyelets of the first row.
