Eyebrow tattoo (permanent makeup): what is it and how is the procedure done in the salon. How to care during the healing period. how to do permanent eyebrow makeup how to do permanent makeup

Every woman wants to look spectacular, because a spectacular appearance, combined with a sense of style and intellect, is the real key to success in society. Of course, not all women are naturally endowed with ideal facial features, but now modern cosmetology can offer any girl to create the desired lip and eyebrow contours using tattooing or permanent makeup techniques.

Most professionals are sure that these are one hundred percent salon procedures, but girls still wonder how and whether it is possible to do eyebrow tattooing at home on their own. In order to answer this question, it is necessary to understand what a tattoo procedure is.

What is tattoo technique

Tattooing is a procedure that allows you to draw the correct and clear lines of the lips and eyebrows. It is carried out using special equipment, most often a machine with a very thin disposable needle. There are two tattoo techniques:

  • Skin toning technique;
  • Hair make-up technique.

Both will allow you to create perfect eyebrows, well-drawn, with clear and regular lines, as well as with a pencil eyeliner effect.

There are certain stages of the procedure:

  1. Eyebrow preparation for tattooing, skin cleaning;
  2. Selection of the shape of the eyebrows according to the type of face;
  3. Machine work;
  4. Post-procedure eyebrow care;
  5. Eyebrow shape correction in a month.

If the procedure was carried out by a professional, then it will not cause any discomfort and will not lead to negative consequences. A good tattoo with a properly selected shape of the eyebrows stays on the face for 2-3 years.

There are certain contraindications, in the presence of which the master will try to dissuade the client from the procedure. Contraindications for tattooing are:

  • period of pregnancy and lactation;
  • menstruation (a temporary reason, the procedure is simply recommended to be postponed);
  • chronic allergies;
  • diabetes;
  • psoriasis;
  • liver failure;
  • asthma;
  • epilepsy;
  • inflammation on the eyebrows (abscesses, pimples, unhealed scars)

Note! If a surgical operation was performed shortly before the procedure, and blood thinners were taken, the master will also recommend postponing the tattoo.

Thus, it is clear that it is almost impossible to make a good eyebrow tattoo at home, unless you invite a professional master to your house. At the same time, there must be one hundred percent confidence in his qualifications. If the resume of the master is not known for certain, then one can expect both poor-quality work and negative consequences in the form of allergic reactions, scars, and inflammation.

For those who do not lose hope for the possibility of a home procedure, one relatively safe option can be offered - henna eyebrow tattoo at home.

Henna tattoo: the essence of the procedure

Henna tattoo, or bio-tattoo, is a procedure that can be performed at home. It is relatively simple and, in addition, has a number of advantages over mechanical tattooing.

Firstly, the procedure is safe, since henna is a natural product that does not cause allergic reactions.

Note! You can dye your eyebrows with henna for both pregnant and lactating women.

Secondly, the procedure is absolutely painless. No redness, inflammation at the site of henna staining never occurs.

Thirdly, the procedure is useful. Henna is an essential component in many traditional hair medicine recipes. Eyebrows will not only acquire color, but the hair on them will become stronger.

Fourthly, after biotattoo, correction is possible, since the coloring pigment is not very stable. After 2-3 weeks, you can continue experimenting with shape and color.

Fifth, the procedure is very beneficial. Henna is an inexpensive material, it is quite accessible to every girl.

Procedure steps

Biotatuzh is carried out in several stages.

Preparatory stage

At this stage it is necessary:

  • prepare everything necessary tools for coloring: a brush, cotton pads, a container with henna and hot water, a towel, napkins, pieces of cellophane, a white pencil;
  • prepare the skin around the eyebrows and the eyebrows themselves: carry out superficial peeling in the biotattoo area, degrease the eyebrows with special products, give the eyebrows the desired shape, observing the laws of symmetry and taking into account the type of face;

Note! In order for henna not to stain the skin around the eyebrows, it is necessary to treat them with a greasy cream, the cream must be absorbed.

  • prepare henna, taking as a basis the Iranian product, which differs from the Indian one in a darker color, and slightly acidified water for its dilution; to obtain the desired shade, you can add natural ingredients to the mixture: cocoa, coffee, juice, citric acid, basma; it is better to think about the color scheme in advance, but it has long been known that blondes go for light gray, brunettes - black or dark brown, and brown-haired women - chocolate.

Note! The mixture is best prepared in advance, as it must be infused.

Coloring stage

At this stage, using a special brush, the eyebrows themselves are painted. They paint both at once, symmetrically. Start from the tips, then move to the middle, and then color the inner ends of the eyebrow or the head of the eyebrow. Be sure to take into account the layer of henna applied. The thicker the layer, the darker the brows will be. After applying henna on the eyebrows, they must be covered with a plastic film, left for 45-60 minutes (the longer the henna is kept, the darker the color will be).

Rinse off henna with cotton pads ordinary water. It is not worth using soapy substances, so as not to remove the coloring pigment ahead of time.

Care step after staining

The result of biotattoo will be noticeable on the eyebrows within 3-5 weeks. Immediately after the procedure, you should refrain from visiting the solarium, baths, and pools for 3-5 days. It is also worth minimizing the use of peeling, facial washcloths, scrubs, gels, soaps, foams, creams, lotions and tonics. All these products can erase the coloring pigment.

Eyebrows dyed with henna can be looked after using oil: linseed, olive, almond, sea buckthorn. Apply oil with a special brush.

With the right procedure and care, biotattoo may well last a month.

Now it became clear how to make an eyebrow tattoo at home. Biotatuzh will allow you to achieve an almost salon-like result and make the eyebrows more expressive. This is an excellent replacement for mechanical tattooing, available to any girl and also absolutely safe.

Graceful eyebrows, which have a well-chosen shape, color and bend, can decorate the face, divert attention from its shortcomings and emphasize the beauty and radiance of the eyes. To correct eyebrows in the case when they lack expressiveness, various permanent makeup techniques are used.

What it is?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that helps improve the appearance of existing eyebrows. With its help, you can radically correct their contour, paint over sparse eyebrows, add color and brightness to light, expressionless eyebrows, and generally get rid of the need for daily care for them.

In addition, such a correction can significantly increase the self-esteem of people who lack natural eyebrows as a result of illness, genetic problems or medical procedures.

The basis of all the techniques used in the application of permanent makeup is the penetration of the coloring pigment under the skin, so it is safe to call this procedure a kind of classic tattoo.

Does it hurt?

As you know, any tattoo is performed using needles of different thickness and injecting dye under the client's skin. Before the injections, an anesthetic is applied to the surface of the skin, usually a gel containing an anesthetic substance (for example, lidocaine).

Judging by the reviews of the girls who made themselves Permanent makeup eyebrows, this procedure is quite painful, the degree of discomfort depends on the chosen technique and on the individual pain threshold of a person.

The process of powder spraying is the least painful, this is due to the small depth of punctures and the fact that this technique does not require dense filling of the entire space of the eyebrow with pigment. However, the disadvantage of this technique can be called a much shorter preservation of the result: powder eyebrows will last a year and a half. The most painful sensations are described by clients who have undergone a classic tattoo procedure, designed for a period of three to five years.

Types and methods

Beauty salons that provide permanent eyebrow makeup services call this procedure by many different names. The methods of tattooing on the surface of the eyebrows currently used can be reduced to three main varieties:

  • Eyebrow hair tattoo, which can be classic (European) or oriental;
  • Microblading, which is also called 6D technique, biotattoo, HD line brows, 6D eyebrow micropigmentation;
  • Powder techniques for spraying eyebrows, which have other names: tattooing with shading, shotting, velvet spraying, watercolor, pixel, dot, shadow, etc.

What is the difference?

hairy

This technique got its name from the drawing method used by the master. When applying the pigment, he draws each of the imaginary hairs in the template, creating their length, thickness, direction of growth. When applying a technique called the European hairs of the drawn eyebrow, they are approximately the same length and lie in the direction of growth. The oriental technique is more complicated, it requires the master to imitate the natural crossing of hairs of different lengths and shades, while the tattoo looks more natural.

The application of pigment is carried out using a special machine. The effect lasts from three to five years.

microblading

With this method of tattooing, the hairs are drawn more thinly, they have a different thickness, their natural bend and various shades are imitated. In this case, the penetration of the dye occurs to a smaller depth of the epidermis, which means that the pain from injections is less sensitive and healing occurs faster.

When carrying out microblading, a maniple handle is used, which differs from a tattoo machine in a more gentle effect. The applied eyebrows require additional correction, which is carried out after one and a half or two months. The effect lasts for approximately three years.

Powder technique

This procedure is multi-layered, the final appearance of the eyebrows, their saturation and the period for which the effect will last will depend on the number of corrections. When performing this correction, the master device, which looks like a felt-tip pen, sprays the smallest splashes of pigment under the skin, creating an eyebrow contour according to a pre-selected template.

The duration of the pigment is about a year, the durability and color saturation will depend on the number of corrections.

How do they do it?

All types of permanent eyebrow correction are performed in salon conditions.

It is very important to choose an experienced master with good artistic taste, who is a specialist in permanent makeup of the eyebrows. An inexperienced specialist can inadvertently draw eyebrows in a very unexpected way. Of course, in case of unsuccessful tattooing, drawing can be eliminated with the help of laser removal, but we must remember that this can lead to damage to the hair follicles, and ultimately to the loss of the existing eyebrow.

It is important to start taking allergy medication before visiting the salon, approximately three days before the scheduled procedure. On the day of the visit, you should not get carried away with coffee or drink alcoholic beverages, which can contribute to excessive bleeding from punctures, since the pigment will also flow out along with the ichor, which will negate the application of paint.

Initially, the client, together with the master, chooses a form - a template and a technique in which the correction procedure will be performed. This stage takes quite a long time, not less than an hour, since the appearance of the eyebrows will depend on a well-chosen template and the conformity of the execution technique. The shape of the template is applied to the surface of the skin with a cosmetic pencil.

A good master will definitely explain what kind of pigment the tattoo will be applied, natural or synthetic. He will also do a test sample for a possible allergy.

Before the procedure, an anesthetic gel is applied to the surface of the skin, which helps to anesthetize the area. During the tattoo procedure, disposable needles are necessarily used, which the master opens immediately before the execution.

The drawing should be applied exclusively in the sitting position of the client. If the master offers to lie down, there is a danger of getting eyebrows of different thicknesses.

When applying a hair tattoo, punctures are made to a small depth inside the epidermis, but even this is enough for blood or lymph to begin to flow out of the wounds. Microblading is a more gentle technique. Powder shading will be the least traumatic, which is considered a bloodless procedure in which the pigment is sprayed into the upper layer of the epidermis.

The time it takes the artist to apply the pattern will also vary depending on the technique chosen. On average, work on each eyebrow takes from half an hour to an hour.

Adverse reactions to procedures may include local irritation, swelling, pain, redness, and the risk of infection. In addition, a hematoma may occur in the area of application. Although the risk of infection is very low, if sterile needles are used during the procedure, infection can still enter the wounds. Signs of infection may include severe swelling, wound drainage, and fever. If an infection occurs, antibiotics may be needed to avoid complications such as scarring, so you will need to see a doctor.

Usually, after the end of the procedure, the master instructs the client in detail on how to behave for the best healing of the tattooed areas and gives out a tube of anti-inflammatory ointment.

How long does it keep?

Permanent eyebrow makeup can last from a few months to five years. How long beautiful and well-groomed eyebrows last depends on several factors:

  1. Chosen application technique;
  2. The pigment used;
  3. number of corrections.

Eyebrows made using the hair technique will last the longest, they can last more than three years (up to a maximum of five years), especially if the paint contains inorganic pigments. A vegetable dye will break down faster, especially during peelings and other cosmetic procedures, than a mineral one. In any case, you should not expose permanent eyebrows to such influences.

In no case should eyebrows be tattooed with the same paints that are used to perform classic tattoos. In this case, the drawing will last a lifetime, while it will acquire a bluish tint.

Eyebrows made using the microblading technique will require mandatory correction in a month and a half, because the pigment is applied shallowly under the skin and therefore is quickly rejected by the body. The client's skin type is important, as the pattern will disappear faster on oily and regenerating skin. Fragmentary fading of the eyebrow is possible, while timely correction in the salon will help correct the situation.

How long the powder coating lasts depends on the number of layers of paint applied to the skin. Usually, in one visit to the studio, you can make one layer of spraying, a maximum of two. At the same time, in order for the effect to last about a year, about five layers of dye are needed. These nuances should be discussed with the master when choosing a performance technique.

Comparison before and after

After applying permanent makeup on the eyebrows, they will look noticeably more well-groomed, as if they had just been touched up at any time of the day and under any weather conditions. This is especially impressive during a vacation at sea or on a camping trip, in conditions when there is no time to do makeup.

After hair drawing, the eyebrows will acquire their permanent appearance in about 8-10 days, although you can see the approximate result already when you leave the salon. The color obtained immediately after applying the pigment will be brighter and more saturated, subsequently it will acquire its true shade. The shape of the eyebrows will remain the one drawn by the master, although if the client does not like something, it can be corrected, but only in the direction of increasing the area.

Microblading will also allow you to see the preliminary result in the very first minutes after applying the drawing, then the color will fade, the pigment will be partially rejected by the body, and therefore, after 40 or 45 days, corrective painting will be required.

The most impressive look immediately after applying the contour makeup of the eyebrows, made using the technique of powder spraying. They are immediately “live”, quite thick, beautifully and softly shaded. The color will fade within a month, it may even be completely washed off, which is caused by the rejection of the coloring pigment by the immune system of the body, so you should not wait for such a result, it is better to come to the correction early and keep the eyebrow contour that you liked and has already become familiar. At the same time, if the drawing of the eyebrows during this time seemed not entirely successful to the client, she can wait for the pigment to wash out and redo it with a new template.

Care after the procedure

After finishing the work, the master must definitely advise the client how long the tattoo heals and how to care for the eyebrows at this time in order to get the best result. On the first day, the injection site tingles, some girls even say that they have to take painkillers. Eyebrows look unnaturally bright, swelling may appear, they must be moistened with a solution of chlorhexine every hour, treated with ointment " Bepanten +". On the second day, the redness may disappear, but it is still necessary to continue the treatment with disinfectants, do not wet the eyebrows with water and do not go outside, so as not to bring the infection. After 2 days, the swelling subsides, but the color of the eyebrows remains too saturated; care is still required in the form of a healing ointment.

After three days, crusts appear on the eyebrows, which are very itchy, they cannot be torn off, since the pigment can fall off along with them; they must be treated with a healing ointment and wait until they come off on their own. On the fifth and sixth day, the crusts gradually peel off, leaving behind lighter eyebrows that have an almost finished look. The final color of the eyebrows is obtained only after a month. During the entire healing period, you can not wet your eyebrows, go to the sauna or pool.

Removal

In the event that the shape, lines or location of the permanent makeup of the eyebrows does not suit their owner, it is possible to remove the drawn contours, however, this is associated with some difficulties.

The easiest way to remove a tattoo made with plant pigments. This applies to all types of technology. Powder coating is also easily washed off, since it is applied very shallowly and the epidermis, renewing itself in a natural way, gets rid of the dye.

A professional tattoo bleaching liquid or a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution can help to wash off an objectionable shade by lightening permanent makeup by several tones.

In order to completely remove the pattern, you will have to carry out laser makeup removal. For persistent mineral dyes, several sessions will be required.

Which is better - microblading or tattooing?

The question that many girls ask when choosing which technique to use for permanent eyebrow makeup may sound a little different. It is worth comparing the hair method with microblading, since they have similar ways of drawing eyebrow hairs, the difference is only in the delicacy of the lines. In this comparison, the microblading technique undoubtedly has an advantage, since the rendering is more subtle and natural.

Advantages and disadvantages

When girls decide to create permanent makeup, they are well aware that this procedure has both undoubted pluses and minuses.

The positive points include the following:

  1. Permanent makeup of the eyebrows decorates the face, makes it more expressive and well-groomed;
  2. Helps girls with expressionless eyebrows look brighter and more spectacular;
  3. This is a fashion trend that is at the peak of popularity at this time;
  4. Eyebrow tattooing saves a lot of time on creating a make-up;
  5. Allows you to be "fully armed" on the beach or on a camping trip;
  6. If the eyebrows had any pronounced defects (uneven hair growth, bald spots, scars, age spots), then they can be hidden.

The disadvantages of permanent eyebrow makeup become clear if we remember that this procedure has a long-term effect:

  1. An unsuccessfully executed drawing is difficult and expensive to reduce, especially if it is made with a mineral pigment using a hair drawing technique;
  2. This procedure is very painful and requires several days for wound healing (an exception is powder spraying);
  3. With regular application of permanent makeup, you can damage the follicles of the eyebrow hairs and disrupt their growth;
  4. Hair tattooing should not be tried by girls with oily skin, as subsequently the lines will spread and become ugly;
  5. A liner artist (permanent makeup master) can make mistakes that cannot even be blamed on him, such as a not very beautifully executed eyebrow bend or an unsuccessfully chosen shade.

Contraindications

In some cases, permanent makeup should not be applied at all. A complete contraindication is the presence of such serious diseases as:

  1. Diabetes;
  2. Oncological diseases;
  3. Epilepsy;
  4. Serious cardiovascular pathologies.

Partial contraindications (until the moment of recovery) will be such conditions as:

  1. Conjunctivitis;
  2. Blepharitis;
  3. Colds;
  4. Scratches and inflammation in the area of tattooing;
  5. Period.

Can it be done during pregnancy?

Pregnant women very often want to look well-groomed and beautiful in any situation. Therefore, they decide on the procedure for creating permanent makeup. But one must understand that all manipulations with the body during this period can affect the health of the unborn child. A qualified tattoo artist will most likely dissuade a woman in a “position” from undergoing hair tattooing or microblading, offering spraying in powder technique, which is not so painful and does not introduce a significant amount of pigment into the body.

What is the price?

The cost of permanent eyebrow makeup in salons differs depending on the technique used. The price is also affected by the amount of paint, the popularity of the salon, the level of professionalism of the master, the cost of anesthesia.

On average, the prices for the initial tattooing in the hair technique or microblading range from 3 thousand rubles to 7 thousand. Correction costs half as much.

Powder equipment will cost much more - from 7 thousand rubles. up to 15 thousand

Do you want to have perfect eyebrows, but nature decreed otherwise? Fortunately, modern cosmetologists, like real wizards, are able to correct almost any flaws in appearance. The desire for perfection formed the basis of such a popular procedure as tattooing (permanent makeup) of the eyebrows, which allows you to create such desired changes for a long time. What are its features and what results can be expected?

General information

So what is eyebrow tattooing? In a nutshell, the procedure can be described as drawing a temporary tattoo in the eyebrow area. A more complex definition could well sound like this: the introduction of a coloring pigment into the upper layers of the skin in order to correct the shape, width, length or density of the eyebrows. The purpose of permanent makeup may be to give brightness, the formation of a healthier and more well-groomed appearance of hairs. In addition, it can be used to eliminate scars and gaps in the eyebrows, as well as their asymmetry. Depending on the existing problems and the wishes of the client, the specialist determines and recommends the most appropriate method of correction.

Main types

Permanent eyebrow makeup can be done in several ways. The most general classification implies the division of the procedure into two areas:

  • Feathering.
  • Hair technique.

Each of these currents also includes several additional techniques that have their own specific features.

Table 1. Types of hair eyebrow tattoo

If necessary, the patient can choose any suitable method for himself, after consulting with a specialist. During the procedure, it is possible to perform sketches in several techniques at once.

Table 2. Types of eyebrow tattooing using the shading technique

In addition to reproducing standard techniques, many masters also practice temporary eyebrow tattooing based on vegetable coloring pigments (for example, henna). This method can be used for shading, it makes the eyebrows more well-groomed and healthy, but it does not last long, no more than one month.

The main stages of the procedure

Many are interested in the question of how eyebrow tattooing is done? Experts warn that preparation for the procedure should begin about a week before it is carried out. It is recommended to refuse to visit peelings and face cleansing, if possible, stop taking drugs that help thin the blood, and exclude alcoholic beverages.

At the first stage, the specialist selects a new shape and color of the eyebrows, starting from the features of the patient's face and his wishes. Draft options are drawn with an eyeliner, the client's task is to evaluate the work of the master and decide which option he likes best. In parallel, removal of excess hairs that do not fit into the developed concept can be carried out.

To prevent the patient from being too painful during skin punctures, it is customary to use a local anesthetic cream. It starts working within 10-15 minutes. The deeper the composition is introduced, the higher the chance that you will have to endure a little pain.

The tattoo is drawn in accordance with the chosen technique. The master selects paints, demonstrates to the client the sterility of the needle used (the package must be opened directly in front of the patient) and implements the pigment to a depth of 1.5 millimeters. On average, the implementation of all manipulations takes no more than 2 hours.

Consequences of eyebrow tattoo

When carrying out a cosmetic procedure, most patients are guided exclusively by a positive result. Unfortunately, quite often permanent eyebrow makeup is accompanied by a number of unpleasant side effects, and sometimes complications. After studying the reviews of real customers, you can draw up an approximate scheme of the body's reaction to a violation of the integrity of the skin and the introduction of pigment:

  • Local redness (first hours).
  • The formation of puffiness (by the end of the first day).
  • The appearance of crusts (approximately on the second day, persist for about a week).

The listed side effects are considered to be a variant of the norm. However, in some cases, after eyebrow tattooing, the consequences can be much more serious. So, there are situations when an infection penetrates into microscopic wounds from punctures, provoking the development of inflammatory processes. As a rule, such a complication is caused by neglect of the recommendations of the rehabilitation period, as well as a violation of safety precautions during the procedure itself.

Unfortunately, cosmetologists make mistakes quite often. Patient reviews confirm that often the final results of tattooing are very far from expectations. Eyebrows are obtained not only in an inappropriate shape, but also in width, density and even brightness. In addition, the work of individual masters looks asymmetrical, and the poor quality color pigments used can change shade over time.

The rules of the rehabilitation period

Proper eyebrow care after tattooing provides half the success in the pursuit of beauty. As a rule, rehabilitation takes no more than 7-9 days. At this time, you should refuse to visit baths, saunas, steam rooms. It is also strictly not recommended to sunbathe in a solarium or under direct sunlight, use decorative cosmetics, scrubs, etc.

However, eyebrow care after tattooing implies not only compliance with certain restrictions, it is extremely important to take into account all the recommendations of a specialist. So, the treated area should be regularly moistened with an antiseptic composition, and after the formation of a crust, moisturize and nourish with creams that promote skin regeneration.

About additional correction

Approximately 5-7 weeks after the first procedure, the eyebrow tattoo is corrected. The main purpose of a repeated visit to a specialist is the need to correct the color and shape, and, if necessary, the shortcomings that have appeared.

Many people miss the correction stage, but its implementation is able to consolidate the result for a longer period.

Contraindications

Permanent makeup of the eyebrows belongs to the category of rather complex procedures, the implementation of which is necessarily regulated by a number of restrictions. Contraindications usually include the following:

  • pregnancy;
  • breastfeeding period;
  • the first two months after childbirth;
  • menstruation;
  • chronic diseases of the internal organs in the acute stage (the pathology of the cardiovascular system requires special attention);
  • oncology;
  • diabetes;
  • AIDS;
  • hepatitis;
  • increased body temperature;
  • colds, accompanied by general malaise;
  • increased sensitivity of the skin, manifested in a tendency to form colloidal scars;
  • allergy or individual intolerance to the components that make up the coloring pigments;
  • high blood pressure.

In some cases, you can find reviews of cosmetologists that tattooing should not be done with excessive wrinkled or oily skin. In these cases, it will look unaesthetic or not last too long.

Price

How much does an eyebrow tattoo cost? The price of correction is determined by many different factors, among them: the specific method of introducing the pigment, the complexity of the initial problem, the brand of paint used, and the experience of the specialist. The range of financial costs can start from 3000 rubles and above, the average price is about 7000. Additionally, the cost of correction, which can be 1500 - 2000 rubles, should also be taken into account.

Tattoo! This topic over the past ten years has become the most discussed and controversial, dividing people into two camps. The former want their eyebrows to always have the right shape and bright color, while the latter, with a grin, take out a stack of photos with unsuccessful tattoo options and sarcastically ask “Do you want this?”. I go in search of truth and the answer to the question of how eyebrow tattooing is done.

Educational program on the topic "Tattoo"

Tattooing is the closest relative of a tattoo, the techniques differ only in the depth of pigment injection.

The love of naturalness forced out thin black eyebrows from the fashionable Olympus and gave rise to the emergence of new tattoo techniques, which are designed to create the same natural effect.

  1. European method. It involves tattooing by applying separate strokes of the same length and shade. In this case, the "hairs" are parallel to each other.

The technique of this method will be appreciated by the owners of the Slavic type of appearance, since it allows you to create "hairs" neatly "growing" in one direction.

  1. Eastern method. Unlike the European method, the strokes when performing the oriental have different lengths and are arranged taking into account the natural growth of hair.

I would advise choosing this technique for those who have rather dark and thick eyebrows.

  1. Feathering. To perform this method, a pigment of several shades is used. A light color is applied to the base of the eyebrow, while the tip is worked out darker. The result is a natural effect of eyebrows colored with shadows or a pencil.

  1. mixed method. Combines the benefits of shading and hair technology. A pigment of medium intensity is applied to 1/3 of the eyebrow and a shading procedure is carried out, 2/3 (tip) is worked out in the hair technique using a dark pigment.

A few words about form

The components of a successful tattoo: the right shape, color and application technique.

So form.

The main mistake that leads to the appearance of demotivators on the topic “Expectation / reality” is the desire to get the same eyebrows as in the picture in a glossy magazine. You can spend hours sighing over the eyebrows of Dita Von Teese or Megan Fox, but this will not guarantee that having acquired the desired eyebrows with a house, you will find a harmonious image.

Remember! The guideline in choosing the shape of the eyebrows should be the type of face and its features that require visual correction.

Once again about color

Before you learn how to do eyebrow tattooing, you will have to devote a little time to the issue of color. In rare cases, pure pigment is used for tattooing in the form in which it is offered by manufacturers. Most likely, you will have to conjure over getting the shade you need.

Hair color is used as a guide when choosing a shade of eyebrows.

  1. When working with blondes, you can safely consider the range of brown and light brown shades. If there are notes of ashen in the hair color, use paint with a grayish cold pigment.

Advice! Blondes with fair skin and gray (light blue, gray-green) eyes are recommended light brown shades for eyebrow tattooing.

  1. Several shades fall under the concept of “blond hair” at once, so there is no universal color for eyebrow tattooing. From my experience, I would recommend following the rule - the color of the eyebrows should be lighter than the eyelashes, but darker than the hair by 1-2 tones.

Look for a suitable color in a palette of chestnut and terracotta. Dark golden tones will suit representatives of the Nordic type with fair skin and blue eyes.

For dark blond shades, choose rich brown or chocolate, but dark chestnut is suitable only for those who have dark skin.

Advice! If you are just starting out in the brow tattoo business, give up on the idea of using pure black pigment. In most cases, it gives a bluish tint and must be mixed with brown or red.

  1. For girls with red hair, you can safely offer a classic brown or dark brown palette. In addition, it is desirable that the eyebrows be a tone lighter than the hair.
  2. I’ll start talking about brown-haired women with the fact that with their eyebrows, novice masters make the most mistakes. Remember that even girls with jet hair will not fit black eyebrows, choose dark brown and dark gray shades.

If your look combines black hair and fair skin, consider using a palette of light brown to dark gray.

  1. When working with brunettes, it is important to consider not only hair color, but also skin tone. For fair-skinned people, it is preferable to use brown with a small amount of blue pigment, which will remove unattractive redness.

In search of "my" master, I met Galina Tanaeva, who not only creates the eternal feminine beauty, but also teaches permanent make-up in his author's school.

Galina shared her secrets of correct eyebrow tattooing with me.

A little "hollywood" - the shape of the eyebrows of movie stars

  1. Correctly chosen can visually correct the flaws in appearance. For example, an oval face that is too long can be slightly expanded by increasing the distance between the eyebrows.
  2. 2/3 of the eyebrow should go up and 1/3 should go down.
  3. The inner part of the eyebrow should be wider than the outer.
  4. The lower line of the eyebrow from the beginning to the bend should be as even as possible.
  5. Wide fashionable eyebrows are not suitable for everyone; owners of small facial features and thin lips will have to abandon the idea.

I'm sure you don't know! Tattoo artists and makeup artists agree that the shape of the eyebrow should follow the outline of the upper lip.

Tattoo technique

So, if you decide to become a master in this field, it's time to tell you how to do eyebrow tattooing correctly.

The procedure begins with drawing a sketch, at this stage it is important to take into account not only the shape of the client's face, but also his age. The thing is that over time, skin tissues descend, the older your client is, the faster this process goes.

No matter how paradoxical it may sound, but when drawing, you need to get the shape of the eyebrows, which will not stand out on the face as a separate part, but will harmoniously fit into the image. Remember that eyebrows take part in facial expressions and are mobile.

Note! When drawing a sketch, keep in mind that the tail of the eyebrow cannot be located below its head.

Having completed the artistic stage, you can proceed to shape correction with tweezers or thread. All hairs that go beyond the previously designated shape must be removed.

With the shading technique, water for injection is added to the color mix of pigments, this allows you to achieve a blurry effect. For European and Oriental hair technique, the pigment is not diluted.

When introducing pigment, it is important to carry out the procedure in stages, layer by layer. This rule is especially true in the technique of shading. Also, remember that the bottom line of the eyebrow should be more defined, and the top line should be a little blurry.

Rules for working with pigments

So pigments. The layman would call them paints and would be partly right. Pigments consist of two parts - a coloring agent and a solvent. The latter can be alcohol, glycerin or sorbitol.

If you are a novice master, keep in mind that glycerin pigments have the most dense color. But water-alcohol lose their original brightness over time.

Coloring pigments can be organic mixed and mineral.

I will give an example of the use of various shades of pigment in the work:

Hue Instructions and recommendations
Black (black)
  • For the arrow, the interciliary zone.
  • To eliminate the possibility of getting a blue undertone, it is recommended to add Burgundy, Red or Orange in an amount of 10% of the total volume.
Chocolate Brown (Chocolate brown)
  • Use to create "black eyebrows" (IV-VI types according to Fitzpatrick).
  • Orange or Real red (10% by volume) is added to prevent blueness.
  • For light clarification, Light Brown (no more than one drop) is suitable.
Dark Brown (Dark brown)
  • To obtain classic dark brown eyebrows (III-V types according to Fitzpatrick).
Slightly Lighter (MP) Chocolate Brown
  • Recommended for use on olive and dark skin.
  • To exclude blue, use Orange.
Brown (brown)
  • Allows you to get reddish eyebrows (I-III types according to Fitzpatrick).
  • To prevent redness in color, add Olive (10% of the total volume).
Light Brown (golden brown)
  • For light brown eyebrows (I and II types according to Fitzpatrick).
  • Suitable for girls of the Anglo-Saxon type.
  • Olive (10% of the total volume) is added to avoid the formation of a pinkish undertone.
  • Highlight Yellow or Taupe.
Taupe (taupe)
  • For light eyebrows (I and II types according to Fitzpatrick).
  • Suitable for shading on fair skin. Allows you to get a light brown palette for the correction of pink eyebrows.
  • A lighter tone is obtained by adding Yellow.
Gray (gray)
  • In its pure form, it gives a rich gray tint, suitable for tattooing gray eyebrows.
  • When working with I-II types, it is recommended to add Beige or Taupe (1 drop).

Separately, it is worth considering the rules for correcting an unsuccessful tattoo, the shade of which has acquired a pink, blue or green undertone:

  1. Too dark shade. Suitable overlay with a shade of Yellow. It is not recommended to use White and Beige, it is likely to get contrasting white spots.
  2. Gray or blue tint. Use an orange shade for pre-shading.
  3. Pink shade. The base color for the overlay is Taupe. With the help of Beige, small errors can be eliminated.

Tattooing as a biological process

Now you know how to do eyebrow tattooing correctly, but if you want to become a true professional in your field, you cannot do without the basics of biology. For what?

  • Firstly, it will allow you to understand the principles and process of healing, as well as avoid many mistakes.
  • Secondly, you will be able to answer questions from your customers.

How is the introduction of the pigment? By means of a needle, which, penetrating under the skin, destroys the epidermis, blood vessels and connective tissue cells.

In response to such “arbitrariness”, the skin launches a local, protective vascular-stromal process, which is popularly known as inflammation. From the foregoing, we conclude that swelling, pain and redness are natural processes during tattooing.

When exuding through the enlarged pores and walls of the skin, the most liquid component of the blood, plasma, flows out, therefore, interstitial pressure increases and edema forms. 4 hours after the tattoo, leukocytes are sent to the damaged area, creating a leukocyte infiltration shaft. Lymph and blood pass to the surface of the skin, forming a crust and scab that protects the skin area.

To sum up the intermediate result - the formation of crusts does not depend on the skill of the master and is an obligatory and necessary stage of healing, which is regulated by the body.

After 3-4 days, the stage of reproduction begins, which is accompanied by increased cell division along the edges of the wound. Tube-like formations are formed, growing towards each other and connecting into vascular capillary loops. As a result, the circulatory system is restored at the site of injury.

Advice! The regeneration process can be accelerated by using creams with ginseng and Chinese magnolia vine.

The final stage is epithelialization. The cells of the basal layer begin to divide as intensively as possible and "crawl" to the center of the wound, a basement membrane is formed that fills the formed defect. After rejection of the scab, the wound intensively flakes off, many horny scales form. The process is completed in 3-4 days.

Confessions of a tattoo lover

My story would be incomplete without a real story. It will not only be an opinion and reasoning about the advisability of tattooing, but a small diary with recommendations for those who decide on a tattoo or have already done it.

So let's get started.

The first question to be considered is why or why? I have naturally light eyebrows and a complete lack of a sense of symmetry, so the daily coloring of them with pencils, shadows and newfangled lipsticks led me to morning gloom.

The decision was made - a tattoo.

I chose the master for a short time and was guided by the reviews of friends and acquaintances. And then the day "X" has come. The whole procedure took no more than 30 minutes, during which time the contour was created and the form was completely filled.

05.04.2013

A man with black eyebrows and a slightly reddened area around them was looking at me from the mirror. The shape seemed perfectly even, but the color was a little embarrassing.

06.04.2013

Waking up in the morning, I immediately rushed to the mirror with the thought “I did my eyebrows!”. A man with black eyebrows still looked at me from the mirror, with black eyebrows, which “whined” a little more when touched. The redness completely disappeared, but I did not refuse Bepanten.

07.04.2013

The whole previous day I was actively examining my fresh tattoo in the mirror, so I got tired of it, and I stopped treating it as a novelty.

On the third day, the healing process starts, thin crusts form on the site of the eyebrows, which are visible only upon careful examination. But rest assured, no one will consider you from such a distance.

08.04.2013

I eliminate a slight feeling of tightness with Bepanthen, I treat my eyebrows with Chlorhexidine 2 times a day.

09.04.2013

After washing in the evening, I saw that the crusts come off a little, outwardly the process resembles a slight peeling.

10.04.2013

In the morning, nothing foreshadowed trouble, the eyebrows were still slightly flaky, as if telling me, “Everything is fine, we are healing.” In the evening, the eyebrows began to itch furiously, and the number of crusts doubled.

The thought flashed through my head to help the crusts leave my eyebrows. But! This cannot be done! The master will certainly remind you of this, I and everyone who has ever done a tattoo or a full-fledged tattoo. Removing the crusts mechanically will cause the eyebrow to acquire an uneven color.

11.04.2013

Waking up in the morning, I found a funny picture - all the crusts reared up and fancifully disheveled my eyebrows. Well, at this moment you need to be patient and wait.

By the way, the color of the crusts is dark brown, and the eyebrows under them have become an order of magnitude lighter and more natural.

12-13.04.2013

The crusts have completely left the territory of my eyebrows, now symmetrical eyebrows of a pleasant natural shade are opening up. As it should be according to technology - a little darker than hair, but lighter than eyelashes.

Summarize. The healing process described above can proceed faster or slower, depending on the characteristics of the body and the depth of pigment injection.

Word to the master

Having given the idea to learn everything about tattooing, I went to visit Anna Savina, an international class permanent make-up master. Everyone is wondering what I found out? I share with you.

– Is a tattoo always necessary or is it better to find an alternative way in some cases?

- Tattoo tattooing is different. For some, it has an exclusively decorative function. More often these are women who do not like to spend time in the morning on thorough beauty care.

The second group is those for whom tattooing is a way to eliminate defects. The category of the latter often includes alopecia, scars, vitiligo and asymmetry. Not so long ago, another procedure appeared - a permanent concealer, which allows you to hide bruises under the eyes.

As practice shows, 70% of our compatriots see a decorative effect in the tattoo, only 30% apply for correction.

Fashion is changeable, trends change every two years. And what to do with a tattoo if its “shelf life” is from 1 year to 5 years?

- First, in the matter of choosing the shape and color of the eyebrows, try not to follow fashion trend, and focus on the shape of the face. In this case, you will not become a hostage of fashion.

If you still decide to change the shape of the tattoo, look for a master who performs removal with a neodymium YAG laser. But be prepared for the fact that the procedure is not performed at a time, it is quite painful and expensive.

Many women dream of a beautiful face, clear forms and new images. Permanent makeup of eyebrows can give any woman expressiveness of the face and brightness of the image. Now you can correct light and sparse eyebrows, emphasize the beauty of the face and save time. Eyebrow tattoo changes color and shape due to the introduction of a special coloring pigment into the upper layers of the skin.

The professionalism of a specialist is of great importance in order to exclude low-quality tattooing, of which there are a lot of examples. As a rule, the “craftsman” is to blame for this, taking little money for his work.

Preparation

Unsuccessful examples scare away, so before deciding on an eyebrow tattoo, you should:

Discuss possible shapes and colors with a specialist who will select the ideal option based on the shape of the face, skin tone, etc. Under these conditions, you can maximize the dignity of the client.

How is eyebrow tattoo done?

Eyebrow tattoo is a permanent makeup applied once for up to two years.

The procedure consists of several stages:

  1. Consultation — the wishes of the client and the scope of work are taken into account. Various important details are agreed upon. At this stage, the following questions should be clarified:

  1. Drawing a sketch on the skin and approval of the form by the client.
  2. Pigment selection.
  3. Pain relief is used in most cases. You don’t want to experience pain, and everyone’s pain threshold is different. As a rule, ointments and creams for local anesthesia are used as anesthetics. If the pain threshold is low, then anesthetic injections are allowed. Some will not need anesthesia at all, others will need a double dose of pain medication. But, a competent approach to tattooing will definitely not bring pain during the procedure.
  4. Master's work.

There are several basic tattooing techniques:

During the procedure, special pigments are used, which are not similar to those used when applying a conventional tattoo. These pigments differ in that they do not change color, but gradually fade.

Tattooing is performed using a special machine capable of injecting pigment to a depth of no more than 1 mm. Before starting work, the form desired by the client is drawn with a cosmetic pencil.

Before applying the tattoo directly, you will need to disinfect the skin with an antiseptic.

It remains to properly care for the skin.

Eyebrow shape and color

Many masters work according to the generally accepted scheme. But, in most cases, the standards do not fit and the experience and taste of the master plays a big role. The shape of the face can be - heart-shaped, round, oval, square, diamond-shaped, oblong.

Everyone has their own eyebrow shape. An unsuccessful choice can spoil even recognized beauties, on the Internet you can see a bunch of examples of photos before and after an unsuccessful procedure.

It is best to consult with a professional makeup artist who will be able to choose the perfect option for you, taking into account many parameters - the shape of the eyes, the shape of the nose, etc.

The ideal color is half a ton darker than the hair on the head. It is under these conditions that the eyebrows look natural.

  • Blondes should be careful about the choice of shapes and colors so as not to look vulgar. Light brown tone is perfect for them, but not black or dark brown.
  • Fair-haired girls can safely wear a gray-brown color.
  • Brown hair looks natural with a dark gray or dark brown tone.
  • Brunettes with dark skin will suit black eyebrows.
  • Redheads can use a choice of chocolate pigment, chestnut, terracotta or brown.
  • In the presence of gray hair or an ashy shade of hair, a gray tone is added.

Advantages

The main thing is the safety of the procedure. In order to do this, the instruments used must be sterile and disposable.

It is important to pay attention to the integrity of the packaging of materials, as well as the use of disposable gloves, antiseptics, and indeed the environment in the office. If these factors are observed, infection of the treatment site is excluded.

Advantages of the procedure:

  • eyebrow definition;
  • perfect appearance regardless of the time of day;
  • no need to paint, which saves time and money;
  • the shape of the eyebrows is stable and is not damaged after plucking out excess hairs;
  • the ability to lengthen or correct eyebrows;
  • saturated color;
  • moisture resistance, which gives confidence in the pool, on the beach, in the gym;
  • the ability to make the form taller.

The duration of wearing a tattoo also plays an important role. On average, the indicator reaches 5 years. This figure is influenced by many factors.

Correction

For the effect to be persistent, eyebrow correction is needed. It is carried out as soon as the healing of the skin after tattooing occurs, and this is after about 3-4 weeks. Only in this case, unpainted areas and other shades of the main color are noticeable. Correction eliminates all shortcomings.

Re-adjustment will be needed after 1.5-2 years, since during this time the color of the eyebrows fades. As a rule, the cost is half of the main procedure.

If a shot or shading technique is used, as well as a hair method, then correction is needed to make the main color saturated.

3D method - not only the main tone is corrected, but also the highlights.

If we talk about 6D, then everything is more complicated here, since you need to highlight light and dark pigments. The former quickly lose saturation, so more correction sessions are required.

In terms of time, the procedure takes much less time than a tattoo. It is rare that a second session is needed, usually one visit is enough. But, if necessary, the correction is repeated after a few weeks.

Eyebrow care after tattoo

The next day after the procedure, crusts appear. It will take a little attention and care.

It is important not to tear off the crusts ahead of time so that bald spots do not form and thereby damage the skin. Sores already on the 5th day take the form of hanging lumps. This mess continues for 3 more days.

These days it is not recommended to go to the pool, apply cosmetics, sunbathe. No need, because in the early days they will look very bright. You need to have a little patience and in a month the eyebrows will acquire the final color.

Flaws

  1. With a disturbed sense of taste and measure of the master, you can make eyebrows in the form of a large black comma, which will in no way give them naturalness.
  2. If the master lacks experience, then it is possible that the hand may tremble and it will take a long time to correct his art.
  3. Often the black color can change its hue, turning into a greenish or bluish color. Brown sometimes takes on a pink or brick red tint.
  4. Correcting the wrong color and shape is difficult. This requires additional time and resources.

The pigment introduced under the skin changes several times. Once injected, it becomes darker due to mixing with lymph and blood. After the convergence of the crusts, the eyebrows become 2-3 tones lighter.

There is always a risk, because there is no reality with full confidence in the conformity of the color indicated on the box by the manufacturer. Even the highest quality black tattoo ink, when viewed closely, gives off a blue.

Poor quality is often the cause of red eyebrows and purple lips. As a rule, these are pigments that came from Southeast Asia.

Complications

An unsuccessful permanent can result from the inexperience of the master. But, the client sometimes violates the recommendations for eyebrow care after the procedure, which negatively affects the result.

So, the tattoo was not successful due to the fault of the specialist, if:

  • eyebrows are asymmetrical and ugly, with a pronounced contour;
  • there is an artificial shape and color;
  • pigment changes after tattooing;
  • bad coloring is noticeable and your eyebrows fall out;
  • contraindications are not taken into account.

Contraindications

Not everyone can afford to get a tattoo. It is contraindicated in:

tattoo cost

The price of the procedure varies depending on the region of residence and the chosen application technique. On average, a big city is ready to offer shading from 3,000 rubles, hair technique from 4,000 rubles, and 3D and 6D from 5,000 to 9,000 rubles. In small towns, they will charge less for a tattoo.

Where to get a tattoo?

The best option is an experienced tattoo artist working in a specialized tattoo parlor or clinic. An important indicator is the constant flow of customers. This guarantees the skill and experience of a specialist. If there is a choice, then of course it is better to get a tattoo done not by a beautician, but by a tattoo and tattoo master. A beautician does not have as many skills as a tattoo artist.
