Hood hat: knitting pattern, photo and video materials to help beginning needlewomen. Cunning fox hood from Alice Yu For knitting we will need

A hood or bonnet can be either a separate part of your clothing or an addition to a regular sweater/jacket. Children and teenagers love hoods very much. The hood looks especially natural on children's sweaters, fashionable hoodies, jackets and coats. Coat, jacket with a hood, is not only fashionable, but also functional. In snow, rain, and strong wind, the hood will save you from unpleasant weather conditions. Today we will tell you how to knit a hood with knitting needles.

You can knit a hood with knitting needles in different ways. The easiest way is to knit a rectangle and sew it along one side.

We knit the hood separately from the jacket. We are recruiting required amount loops on straight knitting needles. There should be exactly as many loops as there are loops along the entire length of the neck plus strips for fasteners. We knit a rectangle up to the height of the head plus 3-4 cm. The pattern can be used the same as on the jacket.

The second method is to lift the loops along the neckline of the sweater and start knitting the hood with the main pattern according to the method described above.

How to knit a hood-collar with knitting needles

In knitting, along with the classic hood, which resembles the shape of the heel of a sock, the hood-collar is especially common. There are several ways to do this. Here is the simplest of them.
The neck line on the base pattern for the back and front remains unchanged, only the dimensions of the fastener and hood are outlined. Knit the back and front pieces, leaving the neck loops open. Sew the product, place the neck stitches on one needle and, starting from point A, knit a row of knit stitches along the right side of the work. Slip the loops up to point A onto the right needle without knitting. Next, make the hood with a placket pattern, such as garter stitch, adding loops in the middle of the hood at the back (see the “+” sign) or along the edge of the hood.

When the height of the fabric reaches 35-38 cm, finish the work with an auxiliary thread, after ironing, unbraid it and sew the open loops with a loop-to-loop stitch.

There is another way to knit a hood.

For classic hood you need to cast on loops along the edge of the neckline. In order to be accurate, you should type on the front side. Fasten the thread at the beginning of the row and, using a knitting needle (or hook), begin to pull the working thread through the loop on the product. The loops remain on the knitting needle. Having cast on the loops, you need to knit 2 rows with a simple stockinette stitch.

Next, the hood is knitted in short rows. To do this, knit the next front row not completely, turn the knitting, yarn over, and again without purling the row, turn the knitting. Thus, first one side part of the hood is knitted, then the second is knitted. Thus, we knit a hood of the required length. Then close the loops on the sides.

After this, the middle part is knitted. When knitting the middle part, pick up the side loops and finish knitting. Several rows along the edge of the hood can be knitted with an English elastic band or crocheted openwork. This is what an approximate diagram of the hood looks like.

The hood is a very convenient and practical thing. After all, it simultaneously replaces both a hat and a scarf. At any time it can be simply removed from the head, and it forms a hood. In this master class we will crochet a funny “fox” bonnet.

For knitting we will need:

  • Yarn in orange, white and black;
  • Hook;
  • Needle;
  • Scissors.

This bonnet is knitted very easily and quickly, so even a novice knitter can handle it.

Our hood will be in the shape of a fox, so we take orange yarn.

We collect a chain of air loops. The length of the chain forms the size of the hood. That is, it needs to be folded in half, this will be its height.

So, let's start knitting the first row.

First, we will make 3 air loops for lifting. They will imitate a single double crochet.

When we knit the row to the end, we need to unroll the knitting. That is, now we will knit in the opposite direction.

Again we make three air loops. We will do them at the beginning of each row. And then until the end we knit one double crochet in each column of the bottom row.

The next rows will be exactly the same. That is, in the end we have to knit a small scarf. The number of rows depends on the size of the hood. As we knit, we fold the fabric in half and determine how much more we need to knit.

So, when the canvas is ready, we do not cut the thread. We form three air loops and knit one connecting stitch into the outer loop of the opposite side of the fabric. We are, as it were, connecting two edges. We cut the thread and tighten the loop thoroughly.

Fold the fabric exactly in half and stitch it with single crochets on the other side.

Now we join the bottom loop. In the place where we cut the thread.

And we knit three chain stitches, and then in a circle we knit a row of double crochets.

Having tied to the other side of the hood, we turn around and again form three air loops. We knit one row in the opposite direction.

You can knit any number of such rows. This depends on the desired collar length. It can only cover the neck, but it can also extend onto the shoulders.

We have knitted the hood itself, now we will knit the ears.

We form a sliding loop from orange yarn. We make seven single crochets into it. We tighten the loop.

We don’t close the ring, but make one air loop and turn around.

We knit three single crochets in each loop, one. And in the fourth loop we knit two single crochets. Next, we perform one column at a time until the end of the row.

We turn around again and work two single crochets in the first loop. Next, we knit one column at a time until the top of the part. And at the top, in the very top loop, we will perform three single crochets.

In all the rest we knit one at a time, and in the last loop we make two stitches again.

Let's repeat the previous row again.

Since the fox's ears have a black outline, we will take black yarn. Join in the first loop and knit one single crochet in all loops except the top one. Let's make three loops in it.

The Sly Fox hood is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up, starting with the collar knitted in the round. The work is then divided and done in stocking stitch back and forth, with the drawstring for the tie being knitted simultaneously in double stitch. The shadow short row method developed by Alice Yu is used to form the bevel, while the garter stitch crown uses another partial knitting method - turn and turn. However, you can substitute these partial knitting techniques with your favorite method. The loops of the top of the hood are closed with 3 knitting needles and the ears are formed at the same time.

A real boon for windy weather? hood hat, detailed step by step diagram knitting pattern which is given in this lesson. This find is not new; our mothers also wore it. But in the autumn-winter season, this hat is again at the peak of popularity.

We knit a hooded hat for a woman with a knitting pattern and description

Do you have difficulty choosing a hat in a huge selection of stores, are you lost in styles and colors, but none of them fit you well? The skill of knitting will come to your aid. If you have at least a little knowledge of this technique and distinguish knit stitches from purl stitches, then you can easily knit a beautiful and comfortable hooded hat for women.

We suggest you knit an emerald-colored hat with three pom-poms. This cap is convenient because it helps to maintain your hairstyle due to its spaciousness. This pattern can complement a cardigan and transform into its hood. Using knitting needles, you can create the option that you like and will look like a glove on you.

We suggest you secure the edges of such a hood with a beautiful brooch. When you lift it from your head to your shoulders, it will feel like you have a scarf on your shoulders. It can easily be returned to its original position, and you will have a warm hat on again.

Materials required for work:

  • circular knitting needles No. 3;
  • hook No. 3;
  • 200 gr. wool yarn;
  • scissors and centimeter.

We invite you to read the description of the process itself:

  1. Do we take measurements? the distance from the base of the neck through the head to the forehead. This distance will be equal to the length of the product.
  2. We calculate the number of loops in 1 cm and multiply this value by the length of the hat. For me it is 140. This number of loops must be cast on, not forgetting about 2 edge loops.
  3. The pattern in the photo is called "Diagonal Openwork". The scheme is as follows:

Row 1 - knit 3, * knit 2 together behind the front walls, 1 yarn over, knit 2.

The 2nd and all even rows are purl stitches.

Row 3 - knit 2, knit 2 together behind the front walls, 1 yarn over, etc. At the end of the row, yarn over before the edge.

Row 5 - knit 1, * knit 2 together behind the front walls, 1 yarn over, knit 2.

From * repeat until the end of the row. At the end of row 1 front and edge.

Row 7 - knit 2 together behind the front walls, 1 yarn over, knit 2, etc.

Row 9 - repeat the pattern from the 1st row.

  1. Find out how many rows you need to knit with this pattern. We measure the distance from temple to temple through the back of the head. Divide the resulting value by 2.
  2. After the pattern, you should start knitting in stockinette stitch, alternating knit and purl stitches.
  3. We close the loops and connect the short edges together, sew the hat from the wrong side. This can be done with crochet.
  4. Decorate the finished hat with 3 pom-poms made from yarn.

Since the hat is quite openwork and light, the winter version should be insulated with a second layer or sewn on ready-made insulation.

A men's hooded hat fits perfectly better for men who don't like to wear scarves. After all, this is a 2 in 1 product? combines the functions of a scarf and a hat. Is it called by different names? snood, collared hat or hooded hat. It doesn’t matter what you call the hat, the main thing is that it provides great warmth in the winter cold and reminds the man that you put a lot of effort into creating this important wardrobe detail.

You will need:

  • knitting needles No. 6;
  • 300 gr. medium thickness yarn.

The photo below shows a diagram of how to create this headdress. It will take some experience and skill to understand them, so beginning needlewomen can learn from the video tutorials at the end of the master class.

A charming fox hoodie hat is ideal for a girl. Children are very fond of animal patterns and costumes, associating themselves with the qualities of the animal. Thus, a child associates a fox with cunning, ingenuity and artistry. A hat with ears will complement a fashionable look and make it the most original.

In order to knit such a hat, you will need:

  • approximately 80 g of yarn 150 m in two shades;
  • circular knitting needles No. 6;
  • stocking needles No. 6;
  • stocking needles No. 8;
  • 3 buttons and sewing accessories.

The Sly Fox hood is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up, starting with the collar knitted in the round. The work is then divided and done in stocking stitch back and forth, with the drawstring for the tie being knitted simultaneously in double stitch. The shadow short row method developed by Alice Yu is used to form the bevel, while the garter stitch crown uses a different partial knitting method? turn and turn. However, you can substitute these partial knitting techniques with your favorite method. The loops of the top of the hood are closed with 3 knitting needles and the ears are formed at the same time.

Size: for a girl 7-10 years old.

Materials:

  • light gray yarn (70% wool, 30% acrylic, 100 m/100 g) 100 g,
  • yarn of the same quality orange color 100 g,
  • knitting needles No. 4,
  • black buttons - 1 medium size for the “nose” and 2 small ones for the “eyes” and 2 orange buttons.

Patterns:

Garter stitch: front and back rows - purl.

Facial surface: facial rows - faces. p., purl rows - purl. P.

Purl stitch: front rows - purl. p., purl rows - faces. P.

Cord: on knitting needles pointed on both sides (for knitting socks), cast on 3-4 sts and knit with knit stitches. After knitting a row, move all the loops to another
edge of the knitting needle and continue knitting. So, every time after tying all the loops of the row, move them to the other edge of the knitting needle and knit.

Completing of the work:

For the collar, use gray yarn to cast on 112 stitches and knit in garter stitch. After 6 rows, knit with orange yarn in purl stitch, continue to knit the outer i of both sides with 5 stitches (excluding edge stitches) in garter stitch. In this case, the average 79 stitches to narrow the fabric are divided into 4 parts and knitted as follows: 1 chrome. p., 5 g - garter stitch (clasp strap), 11 p. - purl stitch, 3 p. together with purl stitch, 22 p. - purl stitch, 3 p. together with purl stitch, 22 p. - purl stitch, 3 n. together purl stitch, 22 p. purl stitch, 3 p. purl stitch together, 11 p. purl stitch, 5 p. garter stitch (clasp strap), 1 chrome. sts. In each front row, above every three loops knitted together, knit 3 stitches together purlwise 7 more times. In this way, 64 stitches will decrease. Next, knit 4 rows straight and cast off 3 stitches on both sides (so that the collar fastener strips overlap each other). Next, knit the hood with gray yarn in stockinette stitch. To form a drawstring in the first row, pick up 4 sts on both sides. To expand the hood in the middle and opposite each decrease line on the collar, make an increase - 5 times in each front row, knit 3 sts from one loop. When the total number of loops reaches 101 sts ., knit straight without additions. At a height of about 6 cm from the beginning of the hood, knit in short rows. First knit the right side of the hood, then the left.

Knit shortened rows as follows: in the front row, knit 43 stitches from the edge, wrap the 44th stitch with a working thread and turn the knitting. Then, without knitting the wrapped loop, knit the purl row to the end, thus shortening each row by 1 loop until all rows of the right side of the hood are shortened, except for the last 4 loops of the drawstring. Then knit all the remaining loops on the right side of the hood and knit the left side in the same way (shortening is carried out in purl rows). Then use orange yarn in garter stitch to knit the middle part of the hood (as if filling the formed recess). To do this, knit all the loops in the front and back rows. Then knit in extended rows - knit the middle 5 stitches of the part, wrap the next loop with a working thread and, without knitting the wrapped loop, turn the knitting.

Then in each row, knit in extended rows: at the end of each row, knit another loop and turn the knitting. When all the shortened rows have been knitted, knit 2 more rows. Knit the added drawstring loops (4 stitches on both sides) with gray yarn. When moving from one color to another, cross the threads on the wrong side of the piece and purl all the loops. To form the ears from the middle of the hood from the inside, make a counter fold of 5-6 cm on each side (see point A on the pattern) and sew its edges. Then sew the hood along the remaining top edge. Fold the side edge of the hood to the wrong side and hem it, thread the cord into the resulting drawstring. On the right placket of the collar, make 2 buttonholes (spread the loops with a knitting needle and overcast the hole), sew 2 buttons to the left placket.

Operating procedure:

1. The expansion of the hood is carried out in the same places where the decreases were made on the collar. Knit the collar in purl stitch, the hood in knit stitch.
2. The rows are shortened from the center to the edges of the hood. First, the rows are shortened on the right side of the part, then on the left.

3. To form a “chanterelle” pattern, all loops of the piece are knitted in garter stitch with orange yarn in the front and back rows. Then knit in long rows, filling the gap formed by the shortened rows.
4. The “face” of the chanterelle is formed from a triangle made with orange scarf stitch yarn.

5. To form the ears from the middle of the hood on the inside, make an opposite fold of 5-6 cm on each side and sew its edges. Then sew the hood along the remaining top edge. Sew buttons for the “eyes” and “nose”.
