Remembering last year’s successful experience, we again decided to try to find dresses costing up to 2,000 rubles in chain stores of economy class clothing. Together with 20-year-old Angel agency model Arina Taranenko, NGS.OMSK correspondents went through the MEGA and Festival-city stores and were upset to discover that inflation had taken its toll. Finding a decent outfit for 2,000 rubles is an almost impossible task. In addition, this year mass-market stores copied each other’s styles and patterns, so sometimes it seemed to us that we were in the same boutique and trying on the same dresses.

Here and there, mannequins in sheath or slip dresses looked out from the windows, and the temporary disappearance of sequins from the fashion world this year, manufacturers decided to compensate in full - departments with dresses could be easily found if you saw something shiny in the store. There is also a noticeable increase in short dresses in the Greek style - with a strap on one shoulder.

The company added dresses with metallic thread and pleated fabrics, more like “rain” for a Christmas tree. The color scheme of the outfits is restrained - dresses in black and red colors hang on hangers, less often - gold and silver.

After a three-hour shopping marathon, we realized that for a well-made and beautiful outfit we would have to pay at least 3,000 rubles. Image stylist Valeria Lukyanchikova commented on the choice of dresses. According to her, the shiny and iridescent materials that remain on the wave of popularity - lurex, sequins, velvet - are not a return to 17 years ago, but a reference to space themes. “Now everything is aimed at space. And, strange as it may sound, “gypsy” is in fashion - bright and large jewelry is needed, floor-length outfits are also relevant, but dresses with a full skirt are difficult to find this year - they are already a thing of the past,” says Valeria. Also, according to her, asymmetrical outfits and robe dresses remain trendy.

In the shop Incity this outfit is on sale (despite the fact that it is from the new collection) for 1599 rubles. The dress will “live” even after the corporate party. You need to choose earrings that match the beads. Stylist's comment:“I don’t really like such dresses. There is no idea in this dress. There are many of these in everyday life. If we choose a festive dress, we want it to be more interesting. In the end, there are still nine days of holidays ahead, and then March 8th is ahead, it will be possible to go out in this dress again.”
