This fall, our kindergarten held a campaign: “Car seats for children!” Many parents do not understand that after giving birth to a child, they need to not only monitor his health and well-being, but also protect his life. Adults do not even suspect that transporting the most expensive creatures can result in grief and disaster, that this is a mortal risk for the baby.
Our children are the most defenseless road users and everything that happens to them is the fault of adults.
The traffic rules of the Russian Federation provide for the transportation of children under 12 years of age in child restraint systems (child restraint devices). Adults must clearly know that if there is no car seat, transportation of a child is simply impossible.
A huge amount of time was spent with the children preparatory work: reading fiction, watching the presentation “Road Rules”, conversations about the meaning of a car seat, riddles, role-playing games “Chauffeur”, “Family”, coloring pictures according to traffic rules, role-playing situations. We made an emblem for the event.
Parents were given questionnaires on car seat use. After analyzing the questionnaires, we found that many parent drivers have a positive attitude towards the use of child car seats and seat belts.
The children, with the help of their elders, created a wall newspaper: “Buckle up your dearest one, buckle up yourself!”

During the campaign, an oral survey of adults was also conducted about the importance of child restraint devices. The survey showed that parents and children understand the importance of these devices for the safe transportation of a child. Parents were given information booklets: “A child’s life is more valuable than a car seat!” The progress of the action on traffic rules was filmed on a video camera and the result was a video: “Buckle up the most expensive one!” Our video material participated in a municipal competition, where it took 2nd place. Preschool teachers hope that the result of the action will be a reduction in the number of road traffic accidents involving child passengers.
